A Yosemite New Year's Eve

Clear Skies, Open Roads

It was absolutely gorgeous, made it up in under 5 hours. At entrance to the park was informed that we would need chains 8 miles into park and then told the hotel we were staying at was 4 miles in, hurray.

Welcome to the Wawona.

We couldn't check in when we got there so we took a lovely walk.

Winter wonderland.

A snowman took this picture, really a put the camera on a snowman's shoulder and hit the timer option.

Skye took a walk on the wild side

She made it across, granted the pond was only a couple inches deep.

This could be an ice rink if you had enough champagne or.....

Merry belated Christmas

Waiting patiently for our last supper, of 2010 that is.

They almost made it to mid-night, the watch says 11:25 FYI.

I did wake them before the clock struck. In fact, we all danced a bunch after crashing the special Dinner Dance and dodging the corkage fee on the Freixenet.

fb post:

Jon Danniells is naming 2010 his Don Quixote year and giving it a one-finger salute. 2011 can't wait to kiss you full on the lips.

HAPPY NEW YEARS
