Packing A Lot In

Several of the last posts have been basically a Jon's List of Craig's List. If moving and the sales were all that was going on I would be busy enough, but the last several weeks have been much more busy than that.......

So busy that I haven't blogged about anything not related to the move since the middle of February. And that was a pathetic, Facebook cut and paste re-cap of January. I have a lot of catching up to do.

January Re-Cap

January in February

So for February and March I'll do a similar re-cap and will hopefully follow-up better than I promised in January.

February in March (Almost April)

Took the 6 am Kick, Fly, Breathe (Martial arts cardio, conditioning with aerial silks and little dose of Pilates and yoga) at The Power Plant, a great class, challenging but lots of fun.

The first day of the month seemed to indicate that February was going to be a glorious time.

today sucked on a multitude of levels, and yes I know that I have a lot to be grateful of so please don't remind, today sucked, let's leave it at that and I'm sure tomorrow will be a better day, or not.....

The second day however...

So to be sure the month was going to have it's ups and downs, with much in between.

Much of the stress was getting the house ready to put on the market.

January 23--House goes on the market

likes sleeping on the floor. It's firm and grounding, as an added bonus you don't have to make the bed. Now off to San Francisco, hurray.

Just in time to not be at the house for the first open house for the public February 5

February 3 to Feb 7--Skye and I drive up to San Franscisco to hang out with Cindy and celebrate her birthday.

did not plan on going for a 2 hr jog through San Francisco this morning, but....left the lovely Nob Hill apartment, down to the Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge looked so inviting and not too far away, got lost in Presidio Park, through Pacific Heights, overshot the apt and almost ended up back to the Bay.

We had to be back so that Skye could rehearse for her part in Romeo and Juliet, she's Juliet. And so she can go to various Girlscout meetings for her Mojave Encampment, and the Tasting Bee and....

had a great day yesterday, farmers market in the morning, jujitsu, introducing Skye to udon, a wonderful dinner with friends cooked up by chef Skye and topped off by home made artisan chocolates (brought by guest) and lots of story telling. Yummy yum yum. A delicious day indeed.

At the end of the day, I know emotions, compassion serve us better as humankind than instinct, but .....the struggle is a just that none the less

I'm getting ready for tomorrows Super Spartan Race (8 miles). Forecast looks to be cold and stormy(31-43 degrees and possible hail), the Lake is around 53 degrees(I'm sure we'll end up in there at some point), and the ankle is still tender(will be wearing a brace on it) Why am I doing this?

February 26/27--Skye goes on her Overnight Mojave Encampment test

February 27 pick up Skye the Torrance GS center and race her to the Shakespeare group for final run through for performance latter in evening

February 27--Skye performs in Romeo and Juliet and is amazing!!!

February 28--Cindy flies back to Georgia, I start working on the re-shoots for Fast and Furious 5

It's a good thing February was a short month.

A Fits Like a Glove Office

When we had our house in Oregon, we purchased a pretty nice set of office furniture to fit our home office there. So it came as great surprise and bonus that 2 houses later this same group of office furniture would fit so perfectly in our new home office in Los Angeles. However it is highly unlikely that this grouping will attain a trifecta given that our next abode is, well we are going nomad so...

We don't have a lot of dirt on our steep plot, but we make due by putting things in containers that hold little plots of earth(pots), ranging from smaller ones for herbs and peppers to quite large ones that hold dwarf citrus.

Shelves and more shelves

It's been a while since I last posted. I've been crazy busy.

We had several showings for the house, which meant keeping it looking like a showroom for weeks on end.

The last couple of weeks I've been working on re-shoots for Fast Five, as in the 5th installment of the Fast and Furious franchise. Yep, they're up to 5.

Cindy went back to Atlanta to start working on the Three Stooges.

I ran the Super Sparta which was super fun.

The LA Marathon is around the corner.

And of course there is the Moving Sale, which brings us to....
