Artemisia absinthium
Years ago before it was legal in the States I became curious about the drink Absinthe. Since then I have become somewhat of an aficionado and collector. I've had several Absinthe tasting events and decided to have one last one before boxing up the bottles and paraphernalia.
April Fools
I thought April 1 would be an appropriate date for such a gathering, apparently some people thought that my invite was just a prank and ignored it as such. Oh well.....

One thing I will miss when we move is this wonderful entry way where I have made many a theme based display for whatever event we may be hosting. This time I wanted it to be an interactive experience, so I set out a collection of objects and wrote on the mirror, "Let the Green Fairy inspire, Grab the camera and take a shot."
I was thrilled with party, the pics and the peeps
I had expected more arranging and rearranging of the props I had set out, but the absinthe, food and fun was in the other room....
Still, some people did monkey around with the concept....
Sorry I couldn't resist
And then the green fairy worked her charms
I am considering which glassware to use not taking a shot as one might assume.
I made a play list which was appreciated, I think. I enjoyed it, however it can't compare to the live show we were in store for.
A choclateer brought the most amazing morsels of decadence
which didn't last long.
Skye made a few dishes of food for the guests and then became absent, not to be confused with absinthe.
But not before a quick photo op.
Speaking of photo oops
